Hi Peter

This is just a very quick note to say that I am giving away my UDEMY SEO Primer course to subscribers of this newsletter. There are limited coupons, but there should be enough for the next couple of days. The course is an introduction to SEO, but those starting out will probably find it very useful. You can get it here:

http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=57xqU&m=JHqVM6t6pYJp5n&b=qz0IwGBXmViw8EulUZQLNA

If you have time after taking the course, please consider leaving an honest review.

That's all for now.

Hi Peter

It's been a while since I wrote anything about SEO, and quite a lot has happened in that time. Here are some of the more interesting things I've seen in the last couple of months:

* An article by Moz.com looks at whether you can rank without links. The conclusion won't shock you, but their data is interesting and worth a read. The full article is here:
http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=57xqU&m=IemtQVQWJYJp5n&b=hD3ar0x3V57OwlD406yqCA

* Would you like free content from Reuters? Reuters announced in June that they were going to start offering pictures, video and text to publishers. Check out Reuters Media Express for more details:
http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=57xqU&m=IemtQVQWJYJp5n&b=oLOxc.3pyc6EgGbbBkYi3w

* Recent Google updates include:

The "Mobilegeddon" update that was supposed to favour mobile-friendly sites in mobile searches. As previously reported, I found that my test site did no better, or no worse after converting it to a mobile-friendly site. How did your site do after you converted it to a mobile-friendly site? Let me know as I am really interested to see if anyone had major gains in traffic after this update.

More recently we had the "Quality Update" on May 3rd 2015 (oringially called the "Phantom 2" update. The update seems to have been tweaks to the "quality signals" that Google use in their algorithm. Read more about this update here:
http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=57xqU&m=IemtQVQWJYJp5n&b=auCIfMn8tzz1aPEeWEPV_Q

That's almost it for the SEO news. I have one final announcement though. My SEO 2015 book is on sale at Amazon (US & UK only) for 0.99 for the next couple of days. You can get it here if interested:

http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=57xqU&m=IemtQVQWJYJp5n&b=nqIpbCcrR.gyhzqJah6Adg

For those that like a more visual learning experience, my SEO course on Udemy has been getting some great reviews. Here's what a few students have said about it:

"Very personable and easy to listen to. He has a tonne of helpful suggestions and is content rich. Anyone who is interested in this type of course don't hesitate to pick up this course. It is the best value for your money that you can find! Very happy with my purchase!"

"The lessons in this course go way beyond pure information. Andrew (the instructor) knows his stuff inside out, and more significantly, he knows how to pass his knowledge clearly so that I can take action on it right away."

"This course is excellent in that it walks you through how SEO used to be done and how it needs to be done today. Andy is one of the most thorough teachers I've seen on this subject and his knowledge of SEO is brilliant. I like his step by step teaching style and clearly produced videos. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn SEO for 2015."

The extra benefit of taking the Udemy course is that you can ask questions and join in the discussions in the course material. If you want to take the course, use this link as you'll get the course for just $12. That's a 91% off!

EzSEO Newsletter - It's Summer!

Hi Peter

It's summer! The weather is hot and the kids are on holiday. It's never an easy time to get the work done, but as usual, I am working on a number of different projects. One of them is quite exciting - a complete re-write of Web Content Studio software. That in itself is less exciting than the fact that I want to make it Mac-compatible. Well, almost! I have a favor to ask Mac users that read this newsletter, but more about that in a moment.

First, I wanted to let you know that I have set up a page on my site where all of my Udemy courses are just $12 each for this weekend (or while coupons last, whichever comes first). Check out the page here:

http://ezseonews.com/ud12

My last course (#7 on that page) teaches YOU how to become a Udemy instructor, and I've already had feedback from some students saying they have begun to make sales of their own courses already. I am hoping to get a few testimonials to share soon. Even if you don't want to take the course, click through to it and watch the first couple of preview lectures to see my own 1ncome reports for the first 5 months.

OK, back to you Mac users...

Are you a Mac user? If so, then I'd like to ask you a question.

Do you use a Windows Emulator on your Mac to run Windows programs? Just to be clear here, I am not talking about a dual boot or virtual machine solution where Windows is installed on the Mac as a second operating system. I am referring to a software emulator on the Mac that means you do not need Windows installed.

I am working on a new version of Web Content Studio, and I want it to be Mac compatible, at least through an emulator. I have been trying my early prototypes on Crossover, and it works great. However, if Crossover is not the market leading emulator, what is?

Mac users, please take 10 seconds out of your day to let me know which emulator is the market leader. Just hit the reply button and let me know. Thanks!

That's all for now.

Andy Williams
