Just a quick heads up. I've just updated one of my books on Amazon kindle and have made it free for today, Friday 30th June.
Search your local Amazon for "self-publishing on Amazon 2017"
Hopefully my book comes up first as that is the title, but if not, you should recognise my book because of the coloured stripe design I put on all of my titles.
The book shows you how to create a single manuscript in your word processor, and use that manuscript to create both a digital Kindle version and a paperback and get them published on Amazon.

I don't know about you, but I think Wordpress theme designers often overlook functionality in favour of their designs. One of my pet hates when it comes to Wordpress themes is grey text on a white background. It may look nice from a design point of view, but from a visitor's perspective, it causes eye strain and isn't easy to read. Even worse would be a dark background with any colour text.
Changing these little annoyances has always required a knowledge of CSS, and that isn't something most people want to learn. However, I came across a new plugin called CSS Hero and tried it out. It's good. I was able to quickly change a number of problems on my personal website using nothing but point and click. CSS Hero created the CSS to override my theme's default CSS, and I ended up with the theme design I wanted.

I should also point out something that might interest you. As the plugin is relatively new, you can buy a single license and then share a link on Twitter or Facebook to get a second license in exchange for the share. That's what I did (and I'll show you how in the video). That will probably be removed soon as the plugin becomes more popular.
