Hi Peter

This email is just to let you know that today is the last day you
can get my "SEO Checklist" Kindle book for fr.e.e. If
you don't own a Kindle, don't worry. Just read my post
here:

http://ezseonews.com/kindle-publishing/no-kindle-no-problem/

It will show you how you can read Kindle books on PCs, Macs,
Smartphones & Tablets.

The title of my book is "An SEO Checklist - A step-by-step
plan for fixing SEO problems with your web site".

You can download it here:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BXFAULK
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00BXFAULK

On other Amazon sites, search for B00BXFAULK

Please, while you are on Amazon, click the "Like" button
under the title (if it is there. Amazon seem to have removed it
from the US Amazon store). If there are any existing reviews that
help you out, clicking the Yes button where it says "Was this
review helpful to you?" is also a great help to me.

If, after reading the book, you like it, please leave a review on
Amazon. Reviews and "Likes" really help me out.

Thanks!

Andy Williams

Where to Get Links for SEO

Internet Marketing Secrets
IMS #225 - March 21 2013
Where to Get Links for SEO

Peter,

Google no longer rewards you for
reciprocal links. They penalize you for
buying links. Acquiring links from blog
networks will get you banned. The article
directories don't help much anymore.
Neither do the website directories.

Links from press releases help a little,
but rumor has it, they are next to be
chopped. That's because they're heavily
abused by spammers making noise, instead
of announcing real news.

So the question remains. Where can you
get links? Here, in no particular, are a
few favorites.

You can get links from: curating content,
guest posts, bartering, engaging in
conversations, research and posting
conclusions, from upstream and down
stream suppliers, creating original
content

Those are a few things that you still get
rewarded for. So lets look at each in a
little more detail.

Curating Content

Curation is becoming increasingly
important, as more information becomes
available. Gathering, sifting, reading,
processing and then providing the best
info is a great way to attract links.

You can do it in any niche. If you keep
at it and don't give up, you'll attract a
natural audience.

The top 10 ways to 'fill in the blank'
always works. Plus it's easy to find
stuff and tweet it out, or to create
lists, like bookmarks of stuff that
you found.

Guest Posts

This is one of the few ways to be
proactive with links. Usually you have
to create the content and wait for others
to link to you.

Guest posting allows you to create the
content and get an immediate link back to
your site. It's also a high quality link,
because it's in context with the content,
and on the page, not off in a sidebar or
footer somewhere.

Bartering

You can do work for someone in
exchange for links to your site. This
works wonders in tough times, in tight
economies and with educational sites,
churches and charities.

It could be for a bit of programming,
design, consulting, or whatever they
need. You simply trade your time, for a
link back to you. Just be sure to write
up a quick little agreement, so that you
have something to show new people
down the road.

Conversational Marketing

Go to the biggest sites in your area
expertise. Participate in the discussions
by leaving comments. Yes, the comments
are nofollow, but that's not the point.

You get a long term benefit from the
comments. Every day visitors will come to
the site and read what you wrote. Some
will visit your site. Some will link to
you. But without the comment, none of
them would know about you.

Research and Conclusions

I love testing and publishing my results.
I get a real kick out of knowing why
something works or not.

People love test results and love to
share them. So why not look into
something. Then run several A/B split
tests and post the results.

Your findings will be instant link bait.
And since infographics are all the rage,
do one and you might go viral.

Upstream and Downstream

Lets say you are a print shop and you buy
ink from a supplier. Ask the people you
buy the ink from to link to your site,
because you are a customer. In return,
you give them glowing testimonials when
anyone asks about the quality of ink.

You can do the same thing in the
construction industry, or anything else
that has upstream and downstream supply
chains. It doesn't hurt to ask. And most
will say yes. So why not give it a try?

Original Content

Do I really need to say it? LOL... this
has been the holy grail since the
beginning of time. Give them something
link worthy and they will link to it.

You are an expert. You have expertise.
People are eagerly seeking experts that
can help them make decisions.

So why not write a few articles and post
them as pages on your site. No matter
what you know, there will always be
others who know less than you do.

Conclusion

Links were never intended to be gamed,
purchased, or artificially manipulated.
Google is trying to get back to the
original link and what it was intended
for. As a citation to another work, a
hub, an authority, or reference.

There are dozens of ways to get these
citations. And as I've pointed out, at
least six of them are easy to do. So have
fun. Good luck. And good links.
