In this issue:

1. Adding a new title to Createspace.

2. Marketers selling their Kindle courses often prove they are not
successful, but hope you are too stupid to realize it.

3. My Book Editor - Q&A plus a special deal.

Hi Peter
Wow! Time really does fly. It's been a while since I wrote a
newsletter, so I've been at work today to get the next tutorial
out in the Createspace series.

The second article could just as easily be called "How to spot
Kindle course scams". Luckily, I'll show you how to use
the marketers "proof" of their success to your advantage
to see if they really are doing as well as they say they are.

Finally today, I've been chatting with my book editor as
he's just finished two more of my books. I had a few questions
to pass on from readers of this newsletter, so I've got those
answers for you. I've also managed to arrange a special deal
for writers needing their work edited.

For all this and more, read the newsletter online here:

http://ezseonews.com/internet-marketing-tips/ezseo-newsletter-349/

(You may need to copy and paste the whole URL into your browser).
Any problems, just go to:

http://ezseonews.com

.. and follow the link to issue #348 top right hand sidebar.

As always, you can leave your comments and thoughts at the bottom
of that page.

all the best

Peter, are you ready?

Internet Marketing Secrets
IMS #230 - September 26 2013
Are You Ready to Double Your Sales?

Peter,

In this edition of IMS:
1) Increasing your optin ratios by 44%
2) Google's stance on content curation
3) Google warns about AdSense sites
4) Thesis rocks the Wordpress world
5) Proximity marketing sans internet
6) Press releases degrade to junk mail
7) Are you ready to double your sales?

- - - - -

Where Are You Now?

Let me ask you a quick question before we
dive into the newsletter. Are you better
off now than you were a year ago?

If not, what you need is a fresh
perspective. A new set of eyes for
creative problem solving. Some people
and businesses I coach every week,
others need just a single consultation
to get back on track.

Ten days ago I helped a struggling
janitorial supply company. All it took
was a little brainstorming and a slight
improvement to the way they write web
copy. The result was a 30% boost in sales
in less than a week.

So if you have any challenges facing your
business, I want you to know that I'm
just a phone call away. It's a good
investment, no matter what projects you
have coming up.

You can call me now at: +1 (360) 450-5880

Skype instant message me at: dynamic888

How to Increase Your Optin Ratios

I ran a month long test on several
websites. I was curious if the optin on
the home page, would still perform better
than the one in the side bar. For the
test I followed the example in Ultimate
Heatmap (available from Amazon) and put
the form in the left sidebar.

56% of subscribers came from the inline
form that only appears on the home page.
44% used the sidebar, which appears on
every page of the site. This proves that
an inline form on the home page is still
the single most powerful place to put
your form.

If you remove the sidebar form, the
signup to unique visitor ratio falls
dramatically. So in other words, don't
use one or the other, put optin forms in
both places.

To create the optin forms, I use Aweber.
They have been my email system since
1998. They've been around long enough to
know what they're doing, and I highly
recommend them over the competition for
deliverability and reliability.

Aweber: http://www.dynamicmedia.com/aweber

Oh... one more thing... don't believe in
the taunts from the social media pundits.
Permission based email marketing is not
dead, or even sleeping. In a world of
distractions, where attention is
currency, email is the gold standard.

- - - - -

Google's Position on Content Curation

Yes, content curation is ok. Matt Cutts,
Google's head of spam prevention said,
"Produce high quality stuff. Don't just
reprint stuff you find on the web.
Curation is not syndication. Use 100% all
original commentary. Use discretion,
because curation must be mostly original
content. Focus on the value add."

In addition, he said, "Don't slab up RSS
feeds, or press releasees, or keyword
searches, because they don't add any
value. Don't have automatically generated
content, spin stuff, or scrape results."

There you have it. Google says it's ok to
collect stuff, sort it, and provide links
to the best in class for your audience.
It's also ok if you write your own
commentary, interjecting opinions,
explanations, discussions, narratives
and reviews.

So think about the different ways you can
provide unique info, while following the
rules, and you should do well in search
results. Just be sure to follow 'fair
use' guidelines by quoting only brief
passages and by allowing comments on
every page that contains quoted content.

- - - - -

Google Warning Shots About AdSense

Google announced that you cannot put
AdSense ads on, near, or around third
party content. In other words, if you
don't own the copyright, or have express
permission to monetize the content, you
can't put ads on the same site as that
content anymore.

In addition, you can't frame content from
another site, or have ads on a site that
links to pirated content. The bottom line
being, if your site contains words,
videos (including Youtube videos), sounds
and images that aren't yours, you cannot
monetize it with AdSense.

Typical of Google, they didn't get into
details but left it vague and open to
their interpretation. So if you have a
Youtube video curation site, you might
consider monetizing using affiliate
programs, instead of AdSense, or face
whatever consequences Google has in mind.

Thesis Continues to Rock Wordpress

Last month I stated that Thesis had
regained its title as my favorite
Wordpress theme. I like it so much that
rave testimonial caught their attention
and is featured on the DIY Themes
home page.

But my excitement gave way... to
amazement. It's hard to believe that I
don't need help coding anymore. Every
single layout that I want to test, I can
do myself with a few mouse clicks.

If you're a fan of my Ultimate Heat Map
research, you know what I mean. Prior to
Thesis 2.1, you had to use Jedi mind
tricks to bend the CSS to get the layouts
you wanted.

Now it's easy to put widget areas in
custom templates, so you can have
recurring ads appear wherever you want.
You can also move the menu bar around and
further customize your look with what
they call Boxes.

Oh, there's one more thing. Unlike some
major Wordpress theme makers (you know
who you are) Thesis honors it's lifetime
members. They won't go back on their
promises.

So if you're ready to get true drag and
drop design freedom that you've always
wanted, get Thesis 2.1. You won't
regret it.

Proximity Marketing, No Internet Required

Coming soon to iOS7, is new technology
and software, which bypasses the internet
to reach consumers. This 'proximity
marketing' relies on pushing near field
(within 100 meters) signals through
bluetooth and permission from the
consumer in order to work.

An example would be a grocery store,
which sends sale notifications to your
mobile device, based on the isle you
happen to be visiting. It can also send
greetings upon entering the store, remind
you of past purchases that are currently
on sale, or send coupons that you can
redeem upon checkout.

Since the proximity doesn't rely on the
internet, the technology can be micro
managed at the retail level. But it can
also be managed over a network and
deployed over the internet, to thousands
of retail locations at the same time.

- - - - -

Press Releases are the New Junk Mail

Links from press releases don't work
anymore. If you put links to your website
from the release, it could get a two week
drop in rankings in Google. That's the
conclusion from two separate tests, but
at least the penalty is temporary.

The bigger problem lies in getting your
press release noticed. The press release
services compromised their future, for
short term gain, by selling packages that
allow one press release per day. That
opened the door for spammers, who quickly
dumped their dung into the last oasis of
links in the Google desert.

The proof is in the twitter stream. If
you monitor it phrase 'press release' it
can flow as high as 400 mentions per
minute. So with over 100,000 tweets per
work day, it means that there's little
hope of getting noticed.

The best way to get noticed, is to write
the release, but not use a release
service. Dig around the publications you
are trying to reach, find out who the
editors are and email them directly one
at a time. The more you focus on the
relationship, the more likely your
release will get read and published.

Ready for a 200% Increase in Sales?

I keep getting asked if I have a
mentorship program. Yes I do.

Just call me for coaching once a week.
No appointment is required. Just ping me
on Skype and we talk, the moment you
want some advice.

What? You think I should repackage my
coaching as 'mentoring' and charge 10
times as much? LOL... sorry!

I've been a marketing consultant since
1988. I don't believe in compromising my
integrity, or reputation for a short term
gain. I don't play that game. Never have.
Never will.

Mentoring is simple. Call me each week.

We'll take a look at where you are now
and where you want to be a week from now.
I'll assign work based on progress and
help motivate you towards your goals.

You can find out more about the coaching
and mentoring programs here:

Go: http://www.dynamicmedia.com/advice/

BTW... virtual business like affiliate
marketing and ebook publishing are just
one path to success. The majority of the
people I mentor have real 'dirt world'
businesses, that ship physical products.

This week I helped a company that
sells water filters, increase conversion
rates from 6.5% to 13.5%. That's more
than double. So that's a 200% raise,
double the revenue, from a simple one
hour phone call.

Are you next?

Hi Peter

I'll be continuing with the Createspace tutorials soon, but if
you missed any, you can check them out here:

http://ezseonews.com/seo/createspace-tutorials/

In the first of those tutorials, I even show you my July earnings
from Createspace, although August was even better. If you are not
publishing your books on Createspace, it is worth considering.

OK, this email is really just a heads up. A few weeks ago, I told
you that I was moving my Hostgator-hosted sites to a new hosting
provider - Stablehost. You can read my comparison, and reasons for
moving here:

http://ezseonews.com/web-hosting/hostgator-v-stablehost-review/

I wanted to let you know that I have now got a 40% discount code
for shared hosting on Stablehost. This is a one-time discount on
your first payment. Therefore if you only pay for hosting a month
at a time, it's not going to be much use. However, if you pay
for 6 months up front, or a year, then 40% savings is a much bigger
thing.

If you want to take advantage of this, go here:

http://ezseonews.com/stablehost

.. and use the coupon code: ezseonews

OK, that's it for now.

all the best

Tuesday, September 3, 2013

Peter, you asked for it.

Internet Marketing Secrets
IMS #229 - September 03 2013
You Asked For It

Peter,

Thank you for continuing to read my
newsletter. I want to hand you a big
discount on coaching, because of that
loyalty.

You see... a couple of weeks ago,
I polled all the readers of this
newsletter. I asked if you'd become
a member of my private forum, if
I set one up. Although there was
significant interest, I was overruled.
My wife said no. LOL

She said, "I should be devoting my
time to our new baby, as opposed to
'babysitting' a private site." After
thinking two seconds, I agreed.

The other part of my survey involved
discount coaching. More than half of
respondents said yes to the idea.
So... ok, lets give it a spin and see
if it works out.

To make discount coaching work, I have
to simply the process. That means doing
away with appointments, back and forth
arrangements, time zone calculations,
email questions and all the admin stuff.

Here is how you can get discount
coaching the moment you want it:

1) Follow me "dmcorp" on Twitter,
because I'll often use the service to
announce my availability.

2) Check my Skype icon. Solid green
means that I'm available.

3) IM (instant message) me that you
want a coaching session.

4) If I say yes, I'll give you a Paypal
address, so you can send me 50 per
20 minutes that you want to talk.

5) After getting the confirmation from
Paypal (usually less than a minute),
we talk on Skype, or over the phone.
Your choice.

So if you're ready to start, go ahead and
IM me on Skype. I look forward to helping
you set and achieve your internet
marketing goals.

talk soon,

Michael

P. S.

If you have a couple of questions, but
don't have time at the moment, put a
sticky note on your monitor right now,
to remind you. If you'd rather make
appointments, click to the website, to
find out more about the services that
you can get.

Go: http://www.dynamicmedia.com/advice/

P. P. S.

If you're not already on my Skype
contacts list, follow these steps to
get on it.

Use Skype's search box to look for my
username dynamic888 .

Once you've found Michael Campbell
in Vancouver, double click on my photo
and send a "Please add me for coaching"
request.

Once I accept, you're ready to hire me
using the five steps above.

Great advice. Affordable price. The
moment you need it. What could be
better than that?

So if you're ready, let's talk.
